Centre history

The CRR started in 2007 when it was formed to promote the remanufacturing and reuse industry in the UK through funding from the UK government.

Key outputs from this original funding include the 2009 UK survey of remanufacturing activities and supporting sector summaries.

Since the conclusion of this funding, the Centre has continued to operate embedded within Oakdene Hollins Ltd, a clean technology and resource management consultancy based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

The Centre is internationally renowned for its work on remanufacturing and reuse but now channels its efforts through the European Remanufacturing Council.
