Locate Spares

Locate Spares

Carry out a web search to find the right part – often the manufacturer and model id number and spares will take you straight to a spares source.

In many cases, industrial grade items are manufactured to higher specifications than those intended for domestic use. You may feel that it is worth replacing failed parts with such equivalents.

Here are some useful links to useful site supporting spares. If you are a spares supplier looking to support the refurbishment of domestic equipment and are not listed below, please do not hesitate to contact us with details of your operation.

N.B. If you visit a dealer for a replacement ask for an EXCHANGE COMPONENT. They will come with the same warranty as new, from the original equipment manufacturer, but will be around two thirds the price.

Specialist Component

Carbon Brushes
Carbon or graphite brushes are an integral wear part to electric motors. The spares supplier for the product may well be able to supply new parts if required although there are a small number of specialist brush suppliers who may be able to help with items that are not available through those routes. This is of particular use for older machines which are no longer supported by the mainstream entities. They will even be able to produce special orders if you so desire.

Bearings
Bearings are an integral element to all rotating machinery. They have an expected service life in all applications. They are particularly specified according to the speed, load and environmental conditions of service as well as their physical dimensions. Therefore care must be taken to ensure that replacement parts are of the same (or possibly better) specification than the original units. It is usual practice for the bearings to be marked with identification characters and if you quote these, a supplier will be able to supply an equivalent part, even if it is not from the same manufacturer.
