Certain floor tiles have been designed for refurbishment and reuse, notably Milliken’s. Interface’s tiles are also design for easy recycling.

Building Materials

If you are demolishing, planned deconstruction can recover significant value in addition to the contents.

Office Equipment

High end print stations (Xerox et al.) have a high remanufacturing potential. Smaller units may have secondary market value.

Office Supplies

Toner and print cartridges can be cost-effectively refilled in bulk by reputable operators such as Cartridge World. Numerous charities also collect and resell.

IT Equipment

PCs and laptops can be refurbished and cascaded within your organisation or to others. Export is possible through ethical, secure and legitimate operators. High end telecoms has significant value.

Mobile Phones

As above, there are well-accredited take-back and reuse schemes.

Machine Tools & Tooling

A number of UK manufacturers (OEMs) and independent companies will remanufacture and upgrade. There are also tool bit take-back schemes.

Industrial Equipment

Pumps, refrigeration, HVAC, process plant and numerous other installed machines are subject to rebuilding. Some may also be supplied on a life-cycle cost basis.
