The market for new Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs) is declining and will eventually disappear. Both Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and plasma screens are relatively new technology so the available number of cores suitable for remanufacture is modest.

It is becoming uneconomic to remanufacture smaller LCDs because the prices are falling but prices of plasma screens are high and therefore remanufacturable. There is also potential for OEMs to use remanufactured parts in their manufacturing lines.
