Resource: Public procurement of remanufactured products
An examination of the potential for increasing the use of remanufactured products by local authorities in the North East of England

Through funding from the North East Improvement and Efficiency Partnership ( NEIEP), the CRR has analysed procurement of councils in the North East of England. The CRR identified several million pounds worth of savings through procuring remanufactured products. The work provides guidance for public procurers who want to reduce costs and reduce the environmental impact of purchasing.

Caterpillar Remanufacturing celebrates 35th anniversary
CAT Reman opened its doors in Corinth and Alcorn County in Mississippi, USA in 1982 with just 11 employees. 35 years on, there are over 1,300 men and women working at CAT Reman’s four sites there.
