Established in 1982, West Midland-based Roadlink International is a automotive aftermarket supplier of braking products for commercial vehicles, both new and remanufactured, including calipers and brake shoes as well as an extensive range of pads, discs and drums. The new 3,600 sq ft brake caliper remanufacturing facility, was opened by the chief executive of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), Michael Hawes.
Remanufacturing involves spray painting the calipers with anti-corrosion paint before putting them back together with any new parts that are needed. Each caliper is thoroughly tested before being sent out to customers, mainly distribution companies in the UK and Europe. The process can be completed in two hours. Roadlink is currently able to remanufacture 134 different types of caliper and is looking to grow the range.
