concluded that businesses must lengthen their outlook, adopt new business models and collaborate to meet global challenges. AECOM, a member of the Major Infrastructure – Resources Optimisation Group (MI-ROG), which prepares infrastructure operators for future development challenges, highlighted that a circular economy model is the only way large infrastructure projects can continue to be delivered. This would be supported by key assets being kept at their highest value for as long as possible through remanufacture and reuse strategies. For example the National Grid, another MI-ROG member, is working with suppliers to reuse redundant metallic assets to reduce the amount of new material needed
FER warns against engine reman fraud
The Federation of Engine Remanufacturers (FER) has asked the industry to be on the look-out for suspicious engine remanufacturers, after increased fraudulent activity and "sub-standard and unprofessional work".
