Significant move for Totalpost
The purchase of the business assets of Cartridge Remanufacturing Technology Ltd (CRT), a well known cartridge remanufacturer based in Lincolnshire, UK, enables Totalpost Services plc to expand its manufacturing expertise into a wider market, including printer ink cartridges and a new range of toner cartridges. This allows Totalpost to increase its market share in Europe and beyond by providing a wider range of cartridges to its already established international office and dealer network.
As part of the CRT assets package, Totalpost will take over the exclusive UK and Ireland dealership for Swiss manufacturer CBR Engineering's equipment technology. CBR manufactures cartridges and offers specialist metering technology which provides an inkjet filling service in cartridge and refill shops.
Totalpost will now be increasing its recycling programme as this move will allow it to set up a collections programme for a broad range of cartridges.
Wider range of services offered to inkjet remanufacturing sector
Commenting on the move, Managing Director of Totalpost David Hymers said "The CRT assets enhance growth of our inkjet supply business and enable us to offer a wider range of trade services to the inkjet remanufacturing sector. We are pleased to be able to support the industry with the most reliable CBR remanufacturing technology and CRT's proprietary range of cleaning solutions. We will initially be focusing our production efforts on the most popular and hard to obtain cartridges of which we are seeing a demand for from our worldwide markets.
Andy Mayfield, owner of CRT, announced earlier this year that he was retiring from the remanufacturing industry but will be assisting Totalpost with the transition. "I am really pleased that the business is going to Totalpost, who have exciting plans to expand this segment of their business and better support the inkjet remanufacturing industry", he said.
