US Senator Gary Peters has support for a new Bill promoting remanufacturing. Sen. Peters discussed the bill during a stop at North America Fuel Systems Remanufacturing in Kentwood, Michegan.
Last month, Sen. Peters co-introduced the Federal Vehicle Repair Cost Savings Act. It would require the federal government to encourage the use of remanufactured automotive parts on government vehicles.
"What we're seeing here in West Michigan at this North American facility is that they are able to create state-of-the-art remanufactured parts, cheaper for the taxpayers, while creating good paying jobs here in Michigan," Sen. Peters said.
Oklahoma Republican Jim Lankford is also sponsoring the Bill. Lakeshore Congressman Bill Huizenga has introduced similiar legislation in the House of Representatives.
