Jaguar Land Rover opens its first dedicated engine plant in Wolverhampton and remanufacturing may be set to follow

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) are focusing increasingly on closed-loop business strategies and their first dedicated engine plant, which is to become operational towards the end of 2014, has been recognised as a potential opportunity for introducing remanufacturing to JLR's operations. Speaking to Materials Recycling World, Jonathan Garrett, director of CSR at JLR said: "We have now got an asset... it is a logical extension to [introduce] remanufacturing later."

FER warns against engine reman fraud
The Federation of Engine Remanufacturers (FER) has asked the industry to be on the look-out for suspicious engine remanufacturers, after increased fraudulent activity and "sub-standard and unprofessional work".
