Webinar provides an introduction to remanufacturing and outlines the potential economic benefits of remanufacturing to the UK

On the 19th November, 2degrees hosted a webinar on remanufacturing with contributions from Dr Greg Lavery, CEO of Lavery Pennell and lead author of the 'Next Manufacturing Revolution' report, and Matt Bulley, Managing Director at Caterpillar Reman. Dr Lavery provides an introduction to remanufacturing, outlines the potential economic benefits of remanufacturing to the UK and describes the cycle of activities involved in remanufacturing. Mr Bulley describes the business model Caterpillar uses in its remanufacturing business and provides a number of examples of Caterpillars remanufactured products. Caterpillar Remanufacturing celebrates 35th anniversary
CAT Reman opened its doors in Corinth and Alcorn County in Mississippi, USA in 1982 with just 11 employees. 35 years on, there are over 1,300 men and women working at CAT Reman’s four sites there.
