The report examines the basic ideas behind the concept, presents a collection of case studies, summarises strengths and risks, and concludes with policy options that could support the transition to a leasing society. Remanufacturing features highly in the leasing business models considered. The study points out that it isn't just the fact that leasing is used, but crucially how it is implemented, that determines whether environmental benefits will be generated.
