News: Europe - REMATEC call for nominees for Remanufacturer Of The Year
ReMaTecNews invites nominations for the magazines prestigious Remanufacturer of the Year Award 2013. This years Award winner will be announced during the ReMaTec2013, the leading international remanufacturing show in Amsterdam, on 16 June.

Instituted in 2005, the Remanufacturer of the Year Award honours an individual or business that has served the automotive or heavy duty reman industry with distinction. Previous winners comprise a prominent leaders in the field of remanufacturing over the past eight years, such as Phillipe James of Remy Automotive and Carsten Bücker of BU Drive Group. The winner in 2012 was Doug Wolma, General Manager Remanufacturing, Meritor. Wolma and Meritor received the award in recognition of Meritors outstanding performance within its global operations, advanced technological skills, very substantial investments in reman and a highly visible commitment to remanufacturing. Doug Wolma of Meritor, "Receiving ReMaTecNews' 2012 Remanufacturer of the Year Award was a great honor for Meritor. The ReMaTec brand is recognized internationally as a significant voice for the industry. Confirmation of our efforts to create world class processes and products from an industry leader is a source of pride for us. Copies of the award are now on display in our offices and plants around the world to remind customers and employees of the respect which our reman activities enjoy within the automotive and commercial vehicle industry world-wide. The panel of judges currently consists of Volker Schittenhelm, FIRM (International Association of Engine Rebuilders and Remanufacturers); Fernand Weiland, APRAs European Division (Auto Parts Remanufacturers Association) and William Schwarck, Editor-in-Chief, ReMaTecNews. Judging criteria are technical excellence, dedication to quality, innovation and impact on the reman industry. Other factors taken into consideration include outstanding customer service, pioneering activities and commitment to the cause and promotion of automotive and heavy duty remanufacturing. All nominations must be received by May 15 and will be assessed by the Judges in June. The winner will be announced on June 16, the opening day of ReMaTec2013. ReMaTec2013, the worlds leading event for remanufacturing will take place from 16 -17- 18 June 2013 at Amsterdam RAI, The Netherlands.

CAT Reman opened its doors in Corinth and Alcorn County in Mississippi, USA in 1982 with just 11 employees. 35 years on, there are over 1,300 men and women working at CAT Remanâ€™s four sites there.Â
