ReMaTec has established itself as the most important network platform for the global remanufacturing industry. The show features over 9,000 m2 of gross exhibition floor space and 180 exhibitors from all over the world. ReMaTec2013 increased its exhibition area by 20% and is already 90% booked, a result that reflects the rapidly increasing automotive, industrial and heavy duty remanufacturing sectors worldwide. The show has an impressive growth in international participants, and confirms over 30 first time exhibitors representing countries such as Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, United Kingdom and the United States of America. Remanufacturing: a flourishing sustainable sector In the current economic climate, the European remanufacturing industry is growing steadily, exhibiting the far higher growth rates than the largely stagnating automotive aftermarket as a whole. As the automotive industry is looking for cost effective alternatives, a remanufactured spare part is 30 to 40% cheaper for the end customer than a new part, and often has the same warranty terms. Besides being cost-effective, remanufactured parts protect the environment and prevent CO2 emissions as remanufacturing requires less energy than manufacturing new parts. ReMaTec received a remarkable increase in interest from parties involved in turbocharger remanufacturing, remanufacturing of Electronic Components (e.g.Engine Control Units (ECUs)), and offers a significant increase of exhibitors presenting diagnostics and remanufacturing equipment. Together with the growth of the sector in general, the 2013 event is looking forward to yet being the largest edition ever. Strong industry support: ReMaTec2013 is organized in cooperation with Automotive Parts Remanufacturing Assiociation (APRA) and the European Federation of Engine Remanufacturers (FIRM). Furthermore, the event is endorsed by these important organizations: BOVAG Revisiebedrijven (Netherlands), European Research Consortium PREMANUS, Motor Equipment Remanufacturing Association (United States), China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association (China) and the Remanufacturing Committee of the China Resource Recycling Association (China).
