The results were encouraging with five out of the six projects increasing the amount of material they would normally collect for re-use. In addition, 45% of householders who recalled the communications went on to, or said they will, think about re-use when getting rid of unwanted items. All projects included a variety of communications activities including a leaflet drop to all households in the target area.
