The project is currently in its third quarter and work is well under way. Following completion of the vehicle teardown, battery specification and assessment tasks have commenced. Loughborough University are currently working on the product design specification. During this stage the Maya 3000 has been has been benchmarked against the Nissan Leaf, Tata Vista, BMW i3, Renault Zoe and Fluence ZE as well as USCAR EV specifications. Basic performance parameters and dimensions, including kerb mass, drag coefficient, peak power, acceleration, range and top speed have been compared. The battery pack level has also been compared with parameters of total cells, maximum voltage, capacity, cooling and weight. Following the initial benchmarking targets, the final battery pack has now been developed. For further information on this project please contact Josie Arendorf
