News: CRR exhibits at ReMaTec2011
For the first time, the Centre for Remanufacturing and Reuse has exhibited at Europe’s largest automotive remanufacturing exhibition ReMaTec2011.
Thursday, 30th June 2011
Our visit generated a huge amount of interest in the centre and enabled us to network with the cream of the automotive remanufacturing industry. We had a chance to meet with industry representatives from Cummins, Cat and Bosch as well as the industry bodies APRA, FIRM and CLEPA. There was a hive of interest in standards, in particular BS8887-220. We will be looking to launch a certification service for automotive remanufacturing standards in the next few months and would welcome expressions of interests now. We uncovered a plan by a group of companies in Germany to develop VDI guidelines on remanufacturing – we will keep you informed of further developments. We also attended the remanufacturer of the year competition and would like to congratulate Remy Automotive! For more information and to register an interest in an automotive standard, please contact us.
