The CRR's work with the British Standards Institute is bearing fruit. BSI will shortly release BS8887-2, which will contain an official definition of remanufacturing, for comment.

Creating standards for purchasers is key. Once standards are produced we aim to encourage purchasers specify the standard, increasing the competitive edge for high quality remanufacturers. Caterpillar Remanufacturing celebrates 35th anniversary
CAT Reman opened its doors in Corinth and Alcorn County in Mississippi, USA in 1982 with just 11 employees. 35 years on, there are over 1,300 men and women working at CAT Reman’s four sites there.
