News: Expert team launches tool-kit to bring Building Material Re-use Centres to the UK
BioRegional, and WasteWISE have launched a tool-kit to help UK stakeholders replicate North Americaís successful Building Material Reuse Centres (BMRCs).
Monday, 23rd June 2008
Development of the UK specific tool-kit was financed by the Centre for Remanufacturing and Reuse as one of five feasibility studies funded in 2007 and supported by reclamation specialists MASCo. The tool-kit is based on the success of a 300-strong BMRC network in North America. It states a strong business case for why BMRCs can be successfully set up in the UK and provides helpful details on how they can be run. To further support BMRCs, BioRegional and WasteWISE are working to establish a national support network to assist individual BMRCs to set up, access funding and share learning with others. If you are interested in setting up a BRMC download the tool-kit from the link on this page.
