Conference paper (2006) availableIn this paper, the authors present the state of the art about product and process assessment for remanufacturing of computer controlled automotive components (mechatronics) – by giving an insight into their current research activities in the area, including theoretical analyses, field studies in the car electronic remanufacturing industry, contract research for professional car mechatronic remanufacturers, experimental work in the laboratories of the Chair of Manufacturing and Remanufacturing Technology at the University of Bayreuth.
